Description:	Dawson, or Jack as he prefers to go by, is a professional familiar. A crow, to be precise, though having spent the last few decades hanging around in the company of various wizards and sorcerers has allowed him to pick up a few tricks to change that and a few other things to boot. At the moment, owing to the unfortunate demise of his latest master at the hands of a band of rogue adventurers (you'd be surprised how often that happens), Jack is in the market for a new employer. After all, how is he supposed to keep himself sharp without access to all those arcane tomes wizards tend to keep around the place? As for striking out on his own, well, that's far too much like effort - not to mention the whole rogue adventurer element. When he has a need to be anything other than his usual self, his most common guise is that of a young man, lightly built, with jet black hair and a light robe. Occasionally he'll forget to make the details exactly the same, but he'll generally be recognisable. Being a primarily academic sort, Jack isn't the kind of person to go around picking fights, though he's not without a few tricks up his sleeves (for want of a better term) - give him enough reason to spend some effort on you, and you might find yourself facing a roc instead of the diminutive scavenger you expected...
