Description:	Born Mathieu Bastien Bonvents, The Blue Mage is the last of the ancient people of Dumer, known as fierce practicioners of magic. Having left his ravaged land to pursue the man responsible for the slaughter, the beleaguered magus endures trial after trial in his quest. By chance, the boy-turned-pirate has found his way into these less-traveled annals of the world... Aged twenty-seven, the pirate commander stands at an accomplished 6'2", though not so muscled as to be totally imposing. Most notable about his attire is the flowing, navy-blue jacket he is clad in. A shield of a more pure blue is strapped to his chest, with the crest of the ruling class of his people emblazoned on it. Under it is a simple off-white shirt. His pants, from what little is visible under the cuisse and greaves, are dyed a steely gray, held to his waist by the mandatory hero's oversized belt. His greaves (lower leg armor) feature unusual wings...when activated, the magus can jump his height, and even jump again in midair--a useful escape tool. His boots are form-fitting, comprised of brown leather. The one thing that can be said about this fellow is that he's happy. Almost all the time, and he's a very approachable person. Though strictly taught at the college he attended, this fellow's actually rather laid-back; there is little that perturbs him these days. That's not to say that he'll -let- himself become something, like being eaten, per se. To ensure his survival, his cutlass Asterix never, EVER, leaves his side.
