Description:	How does one describe the appearance of something that can change it at will? This gregarious little creature is composed entirely of a soft, blue, opaque, gelatinous putty-like substance, the consistency of which seems to change on a whim, whether it be rock-hard or completely free-flowing. This shapeshifting property allows it to adopt virtually any form it wants provided it has roughly the same mass, even to the point of dividing itself into two or more completely independent entities - so if you encounter a blue lump, chances are good there's more around somewhere. Its shapeshifting ability is far from perfect, however, so it's plainly obvious for everyone looking at it that there's something amiss - for a start, when it speaks, the sound doesn't come from whatever mouth it may have adopted, not to mention the fact that it can't change its colour from its blatantly conspicuous hue. Features like that tend to be there for decoration as far as this critter is concerned. When dealing with other creatures, Peep is generally something on the chatty side, and even if he does plan on having some fun with some unfortunate (or not, depending on your point of view) traveller, he won't break up an interesting conversation to do so. Distracting him with small talk is a surprisingly effective method of stalling him, at least for a while. On the other hand, making any kind of physical contact tends to be asking for trouble - he can be surprisingly adhesive when he wants to be...
